My wife, Mariann, and I knew Susan as our neighbor in Chicago years before we asked her to help us look for a house. As a person she is warm, friendly, honest, fun-loving, and generous among many other wonderful qualities. These traits directly translate to her abilities as a realtor and we could not have asked for a better person as our first and only choice to represent us. Mariann and I had our fears about buying a house but at our first meeting, Susan streamlined the process by breaking it down and giving us a short list of lenders and real estate lawyers with whom she has worked in the past and trusts. Once Mariann and I built our team, we started looking for houses and Susan could not have been a better realtor. She found several houses within our price range, type, location, etc. and, after a little over a month, we found a house two blocks from the school at which I teach. When we decided on the house that we wanted, Susan was constantly in contact with the owners and us regarding the inspection results and our â??list of demandsâ??. We never felt ignored or out of touch in spite of the fact that she was working with several clients at the time. As a result of her efforts, Mariann and I received a great deal and closed on our house seven months after our initial meeting. Mariann and I have been in our home for eight months and it continues to serve our growing family (we welcomed our first child in early December).
